myLot Discussions about Bea Arthur Autograph
Bea Arthur of Maude and The Golden Girls fame
I am sad to say that the great Bea Arthur has passed away. Many of you may have already heard by the time you read this, but I was wondering if anyone would like to share any of your favorite moments when you had the pleasure of watching this lady work. It could be on any show mentioned or anything else that you may have seen her in. I, myself, am a huge Golden Girls fan, so it would have to be from that show. My favorite thing about watching Bea on that show was the chemistry that she and Estelle had as Dorthy and Sophia. Those two together never failed to make me laugh. Now they are both gone. I will miss you and thanks for all the laughter you brought into the world.
Golden girls won't be Golder girls without Maude ( Bea Arthur)
I always enjoy watching the golden girls, I always enjoy Bea Arthur who plays Maude the most, I like her deep voice she was so funny and what a brilliant woman she was. I will really miss her, I sent my sympathy out to her family. She will always be rememberd. She really live a very long life, I think she was 85 years at the time of death.
Bea Arthur, Rest In Peace
Actress Bea Arthur passed away today at home, she was 86 years old. You may remember her as Maude in the 1970s or from The Golden Girls. She was a wonderfully funny lady and a great actress. May she now be laughing with the angels in heaven. Rest In Peace Bea Arthur
Event of 2009?
What do you think was the biggest event of 2009? Obama becoming president? Jon & Kate's split? Tiger Woods' drama? Leann Rimes and Eddie Cibrian's affiar and subsequent divorces? Susan Boyle? The murder of the couple that had 9 special needs children? Kanye West and Taylor Swift at the VMA's? Michael Jackson's death? or something else? For me, I think Michael Jackson's death had the biggest impact- he was a major icon of music and his death was just so unexpected.
the golden girls
Bea Arthur, who showed America in the TV sitcoms "Maude" and "The Golden Girls" that Granny could do way more than just bake cookies, died at her Los Angeles home Saturday at the age of 86. Did you watch the Golden Girls, if so what did you think of it & who was your favorite character???
Another sad day
Its a sad day for fans of the Golden Girls with the news of Bea Arthur passing away at the age of 86. It seems like not that long ago Estell getty passed away in her 80's. I always enjoyed that show and would joke with some of my friends that when we got in or 60s and 70s that woudl be us however I lost touch with one of the friends and the other lost their life in their 30s from Desert Storm. So its Rose and Blanche and I am sure their heart are in pain. Dorthy was porbably my favorite? Did you have a favorite Golden Girl?[em]sad[/em]
If You became Famous, would you change your name, or keep the one you got?
I came up with this topic after submitting my Sylvester Stallone piece, which reminded me of the piece I did awhile ago about Bea Arthur. So, if you became famous (acting, modeling, music, etc.) would you change your name or keep the one you have? If so, what would it be and why would you change it from your birth name?Me? Trust me, I'd definitely change my name. I've never liked my name. Many people tell me it's beautiful, but sorry, Danielle just isn't cutting it for me. Of course it could have a lot to do with what my maiden name was, but we won't get into that. And just for the record...we all need to promise we wont steal anyones idea for names here. It's like naming your child or pet, nothing more aggravating than a friend stealing your name. So, if I became a famous I'd change my name to D'Nei which is the name I use when I write my poetry. It can be used by itself or I can go with Alicia D'Nei which is similar to my middle name Alicia Dante. But anyway, that's it. So, what's yours?
The Name Game
If Kitty Carlisle married Conway Twitty, she'd be Kitty Twitty. If Yoko Ono married Sonny Bono, she'd be Yoko Ono Bono. If Dolly Parton married Salvador Dali, she'd be Dolly Dali. If Bo Derek married Don Ho, she'd be Bo Ho. If Oprah Winfrey married Depak Chopra, she'd be Oprah Chopra. If Cat Stevens married Snoop Doggy Dogg (hey! it's the '90's!), he'd be Cat Doggy Dogg.If Olivia Newton-John married Wayne Newton, then divorced him to marry Elton John, she'd be Olivia Newton-John Newton John.If Sondra Locke married Elliott Ness, then divorced him to marry Herman Munster, she'd become Sondra Locke Ness Munster. If Bea Arthur married Sting, she'd be Bea Sting. If Liv Ullman married Judge Lance Ito, then divorced him and married Jerry Mathers, she'd be Liv Ito Beaver. If Snoop Doggy Dogg married Winnie the Pooh, he'd be Snoop Doggy Dogg Pooh. How about a baseball marriage? If Boog Powell married Felipe Alou, he'd be Boog Alou. If G. Gordon Liddy married Boutros-Boutros Ghali, then divorced him to marry Kenny G., he'd be G. Ghali G.Nog (Quark's brother on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine") has no other name, so he uses it twice when getting a marriage license. If he...
