| | | Crosby Stills and Nash Memorabilia Found Here | myLot Discussions about Crosby Stills and Nash Memorabilia | | Re-release of Three Days of Peace | | The Woodstock documentary was re-released last moonth as the 4oth anniversary for the monumental historical festival. Did anyone buy it? I did, and was so pleased with the added clips that were previously unreleased. My favorite performances were by Janis Joplin and Crosby, Stills, and Nash. Who are your favorites? | |
| | Best Concert | | What is the best concert (or maybe the only concert?) you have been to? What year did you go? I have seen Boyz II Men (1995) and Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley, and Carrie Underwood (2006), That's it! I really wanted to see Crosby, Stills, and Nash, who are coming to my area next month, but I don't have the money.:( | |
| | What are the five best concerts you've ever seen? | | What are your top five favorite concerts you've ever seen?
I'm trying to think if there are even five concerts I've seen in my life - most were back in college. One in high school.
I saw Kiss in 1975, the Kiss Alive Tour. First concert I'd ever seen. Stuff blew up, Gene spit fire, then blood. Holy cow.
So what are your top five. I guess these are in order of best first.1. 1978 Rush and 38 Special
2. 1978 AC/DC
3. 1975 Kiss (again in 1977)
4. 1977 Boston
5. 1981 JourneyI had tickets to see the Who play in Cincinnati in 1979 when those six people were killed in a human stampede, but I had just gotten out of the hospital from a broken jaw and my cousin was getting married the same night of the concert so I sold my ticket.
So gimme your top five.
Oh yeah... I'm going to see Crosby, Stills and Nash in Charleston this summer. | |
| | Teach Your Children | | http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=az9Az6S1nusThis was inspired by another discussion that I was involved with regarding teaching our children acceptance of other people. It seems that in this day and age we tend to be questioning who should be teaching our children. I think it's obvious, us. We the parents should be teaching our children. We should be setting the foundation, and instilling these values before our children enter the school yard. I feel that Crosby, Stills, and Nash sum it up well. Enjoy the video. For thoughts, what are you teaching your children? How do you reinforce it? Are there things your children have picked up that are not good things either from you or others that you are now trying to change? How do you help your children stay strong to their moral foundations in a world that is not always accepting?Namaste-Anora | |

| | OMG--I Don't Believe It...It Was THAT Long Ago? | | Just watching something on the news thatforty years ago one of the greatest music festival occurred-----WOODSTOCK and I'm thinking...crap was it THAT long ago--talk about feeling like an old fart[em]shocked[/em]I was only thirteen years old when Woodstock happened and way to young to have been there in person, but have seen the Woodstock movie (both versions...theatrical and extended)For those of you too young...the Woodstock Festival took place August 15th to August 18th 1969 and was coined the festival of three days of peace, love and music as it was the largest ever get together of people recorded for a music festival. Originally only 5,000 people were expected at that now famous Max Yasgur's 600 acre farm.....instead over half a million people showed up. Considering the number of people that were there, it really WAS a peaceable celebration...no fights, no murders, everyone was mellow--oh course maybe since most people were stoned out of their minds...[em]w00t[/em]. Woodstock epitomized that whole hippie, peace and love movement I was to grow up inFor more particulars of Woodstockhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woodstock_FestivalThe list of performers is... | |
