| Are there things in your life that give you I Love Lucy moments? | | I have written about my friend and what went down between us in here before. Basically it goes like this: I had a long standing friend who I went to stay with for a few months. When I left there and came home she started accusing me of having stolen from her. I didn't and I kept trying to find out why I was being accused, why she was acting this way. Never happened. Then she went on to threaten me with contacting the authorities. I couldn't believe it! Obviously still can't. I ended the friendship because I felt no real friend would acuse another of something they knew wasn't true and then go so far as threaten the authorities on them as if they wanted some affect. But here's the rub: I used to set and watch I Love Lucy and The Golden Girls with her all the time. We would laugh and talk about 'the old days' while we watches these silly shows for hours. It was a great time and good memory. Now though I cannot watch either show. It hurts too much and it reminds me of her. Do you have a 'I Love Lucy' moment? Some show or happening that reminds you of some sad thing in your past? What is it and why? | |
| | i love lucy | | Do you remember the original "I Love Lucy Show"? I still love that show. It is so simple, but funny in so many ways. If I see it when flipping through channels I still have to stop and watch it again and again. Lucy does so many zany things that in real life probably would never actually happen, but I still like to see what she gets herself into and then how she manages to get herself out again. Be it stomping on grapes, working in a candy factory, imitating Groucho Marx, trying to sing at Ricky's nightclub, baking bread, traveling by car to California, and on and on, she is always refreshing! There isn't a show now that could even come close to this one.. Now though I cannot watch either show. It hurts too much and it reminds me of her. Do you have a 'I Love Lucy' moment? | What is your favorite I Love Lucy episode? | | I would have to say my favorite I Love Lucy episode is The Hollywood Anniversary one because Ricky is all concerned that he can't remember the date of his and Lucy's anniversary, so he goes through various ways of trying to find out the date. Of course Lucy finds him out and gets all mad at him, and makes him go to the anniversary party without her. Of course, Lucy being Lucy, goes with Bobby the bellboy and her mother later on, and ends up forgiving Ricky when he sings and dances the Anniversay Waltz with her.. Now though I cannot watch either show. It hurts too much and it reminds me of her. Do you have a 'I Love Lucy' moment? Some show or happening that reminds you of some sad thing in your past? | | I love Lucy T.V. show... | | I love this show, it is so freaking funny. Lucy is just a nut, and is always making Ricky mad. I'm sitting here on the couch now at 6AM in the morning watching it, and laughing like crazy at Lucy.

| "I Love Lucy" never gets old. | | When I'm home, I watch it at noon for an hour. I've always seen the episodes before, but it just never gets old to me. It's always so funny! I like the episode where Lucy, Ricky and Fred and Ethel were in Paris and Lucy got arrested for using counterfeit money and when she went to the jail, the police officers couldn't understand her so they got a drunk bum in jail who spoke German and Spanish so they could speak to Ricky about it. I also like the other one in Paris, where Lucy and Ethel got tricked into wearing potato sack dresses because Ricky and Fred told them it was the latest fashion and a french fashion designer got inspired by it and had his models wear potato sack dresses LOL | |

| Headline: " I Love Lucy Predicts the Future! " | | I am a huge fan of I Love Lucy. I can recite most episodes along with the show! But knowing it all so well, makes for some funny times nad conversations. I was just thinking and going through the stuff I have learned about advertising, adwords, google keywords, and using specific words for search engines to pick you up quicker and more often.LEt's see I Love Lucy was in production 1951-57. The final season they just moved to the country. Lucy and Ricky are realizing the high costs of living in the big house in the country so they figure how to make extra money. They decide to raise chickens and sell the eggs. But they need a hired hand to help. So when Fred and Ethal come to visit, they are all four sitting round the table brainstorming for an ad to hire a some help. Lucy throws out things like "make alot of money over night" and "get rich quick". Ricky says no to all of them saying they just weren't right, and lucy says "why dont' you just say "want to throw your money down a rat hole?" And Ricky says "no, that's not good. Besides, there's no money required". (as the hired help would live in the guest house and take half the chicken income) And fred spouts out with... | |
