Will you have the courage to live on if you lost sight?
Hi, friends. Today i'd like to share this discussion with all of you. As we are living in this world, we have a rather acute sense of the importance of sight. Whatever we do and wherever we go, we need to use our eyes. It's hard for us to realise how difficult it was for people who lost sight to continue living on. When i see blind people in the street, i can't helping thinking whether i'll have the courage to live on if i lost sight. I dare not imagine the tough times i'll have to struggle to do everything in a dark world. They maybe things as simple as eating and drinking, or as hard as walking and working. I may probably be easily defeated by the hardship of life as i'm a person who has not much courage to face difficulties, especially health problems. What will you do on such an occasion? Will you have the courage to live on if you lost sight? Or you just let it defeat you? Any responses will be appreciated.

Critics Blast Schwarzenegger's Million-dollar Inauguration Party
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is planning to celebrate his re-election with a two-day Hollywood-style party that will cost over a million dollars, drawing criticism from advocates for consumer and taxpayer rights. The centrepiece of the extravaganza will be the former action movie star's swearing-in Friday in front of about 3,000 guests at Sacramento's historic Memorial Auditorium, where guitarist and singer Jose Feliciano will perform the national anthem. The official event will be preceded by a swanky private dinner for big political donors the night before. It will be followed by a spate of luncheons and a gala ball featuring singers Donna Summer and Paul Anka entertaining guests who will pay at least 500 dollars each to attend. The entire event is being organized by Carl Bendix, who is also responsible for such lavish events as the Academy Awards Governor's Ball which is regarded as the most prestigious party following the Oscars each year.Schwarzenegger is not allowing his broken thigh to interfere with the festivities. He said in a recent statement that he is looking forward to the event, "even if it means I have to walk into my swearing-in ceremony...
Gates plans report to Bush on Iraq
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Friday that he hopes to give a report to President Bush this weekend on what he learned during his three days of meetings with military and political leaders here. Gates declined to say whether he plans to recommend a short-term increase in U.S. troop levels. But he said he believes the U.S. and Iraqis have "a broad strategic agreement between the Iraqi military and Iraqi government and our military.""There is still some work to be done," Gates said. "But I do expect to give a report to the president on what I've learned and my perceptions."Speaking to reporters at Camp Victory, with the sounds of artillery fire and jet aircraft in the background, Gates said that "clearly there are more discussions that need to take place in Washington and more specific recommendations."He said Gen. George Casey, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, was continuing to work with Iraqi officials, with more details expected in the days ahead. Gates said he is "quite confident that what I've heard from the Iraqis of their plans this week, that we will be able together, and with them in the lead, we will be able to make an improvement in the security...
