Do you get the TV guide? Do you use it?
I've been getting it here lately, only because I somehow got a free subscription. Anyway, I mostly use it to read the articles, and to see what's coming in TV Land. I do look at the listings for what's going to be on. There are quite a few interesting things in that magazine.
TV Guide Countdown
I always read the countdown list and most of the time really don't agree and want to know what they were thinking. This is one time I agree with most of the list, but think #8 is wrong. I think we can all come up with a better choice and a few I would change the order. #10 Bionic Women and Six Million Dollar Man I have no problem with this one.#9 Xena: Warrior Princess I agree with this one. My daughter and I watched it together.#8 Brandon Walsh I would have to save this one, as he isn't tough enough to protect me or anyone else on the board. What was Damian thinking at TV Guide?#7 Walker Texas Ranger When I watch his exercise videos it makes me want to get in better shape fast#6 La Femme Nikita If you haven't seen this lady, she could protect all of us.#5 Magnum PI I was a big fan and his character was a Navy Seal before a private eye. #4 Sydney Bristow I was a big Alias fan and sad to see that 5th season really not good.#3 Jack Bauer 24 Fans I know you think TV Guide missed the mark; however, I like #2 and #1.#2 I sure miss Buffy and really enjoyed the show. My daughter and I watched it together.#1 He can save...
TV Guide
I subscribe to the TV Guide. The two issues that make it worth my while to have a subscription: The Fall Preview & Returning Favorites The Fall Preview has 102 new shows and gives a synopsis of each new show. But trust your own likes and dislikes. TV Guide predicted Heroes to be a flop, LMAO! Fall Preview is available now, for the week of Sept 8 to Sept 14. I like to go through it and decide what I'd like to see and make a decision on whether or not I think the show will make it and is it worth my time to invest in it. If TV Guide goes accoring to their usual set-up, next week will have Returning Favorites. I depend on this issue to set up my VCRs and DVR so I won't miss anything I like to watch already. Then I go back to the Fall Preview isssue and figure out what I can fit of the new shows that I want to watch. Even if you don't subscribe to the TV Guide, these are the 2 must-have issues for any avid TV watcher.Who subscribes to the TV Guide? Who buys it at the newstands and checkout lines? Are you in agreement with me that these 2 issues are the best ones to consult? What do you think of the (relatively) new Guide format as opposed to the original format?
TV guide: yes or no?
Do you regularly buy a TV guide magazine? Do you use it to check your tv schedule or simply to read the other articles about vips that come with it? or you only use the schedule and not care for the articles?I used to buy one some years ago, and while at first i would read both articles and schedules in the end i was ignoring the schedule part....so after a whle ie of this i gave up buying it:p It was good at firs because it came with the lyrics of recent songs and an italian translation...so when i was younger adn did not speak English it would help understand...but once i learnt to understand songs for myself it became completely pointless. What about you?[em]cool[/em]
TV guide involved?
Does checking your day planner involve the tv guide? LOL If someone asks you if you can do something with them, does it depend on what shows are on that night? What about sports?
TV Guide
Do you plan to buy the new issue of TV Guide? Its a special issue with new information about 130 shows. My cover has Patrick Dempsey, who is talking about Grey's Anatomy and his children. The issue has day by day information about returning shows.
Tv Guide
How many of you use a regular magazine of TV Guide? I have had one for years and have enjoyed it so much. I grew up with it, so it was just kind of part of me to get it too. I love looking at the lastest scoop and see what I need to watch and/or record for the following week.Though if you don't like the regular Tv Guide magazine, there is also the online TV Schedule from TV Guide online. As a part of Bzz Agent, I was able to get a very neat kit with some back issues of Tv Guide, which a couple I have gave to my friend that enjoys TV as much as I do. lol And I even got some coupons for a $1, but have only gave away one of those as of yet. So if you haven't picked up a TV Guide in some time I'd recommed that you pick one up and browse it. You might like it.:)
The tv guide channel...............
Do you watch the stuff that is on the tv guide channel above the listings more than you watch the listings? How many times do you think the channels go by before you find something to watch. I watch the stuff on the top and there is a gameshow, I think is called "Boxoffice Showdown" that I really like to watch. I wish it was on a regular channel. The listings go by too many times for me to count! How about you?
Do you use a TV Guide, Teletext or just quess what's on TV?
How do you know what to watch on TV? Do you just turn it on whnever you feel like it and channel hop untill you find something you want to watch? Do you buy a TV Guide and plan what TV you are going to watch? Do you turn it on and flick to Teletext to see what will be on later? Do you maybe rely on adverts that come on while watching it to find out what else will be showing in the future? Maybe you don't watch TV at all becuase you're too busy here on MyLot?
TV Guide??
Can anyone give me a good link where i can get the program guide or channels like HBO and*Movies for India???
